Guayusa, red berries and honey granita

Guayusa granita

Granita is a Sicilian dessert made from frozen fruit, water and sugar that is then shaved or scraped until small and refreshing ice crystals are achieved. It can be prepared with a great variety of ingredients, on this occasion we share with you our delicious granita recipe: guayusa, andean blueberry, raspberry and honey granita.

Ingredients

1/2 cup andean blueberry

1/2 cup raspberry

2 lime and guayusa Wá sodas

1/2 cup honey

Vanilla ice cream (optional)

Method

  1. Blend all the ingredients and sieve the liquid.

  2. Place the liquid on a metal tray.

  3. Freeze the mix until fully frozen.

  4. Scrape with a fork the mix on the tray until you get small granita crystals. If you prefer a smoother texture, blend all the mix on a food processor. +

  5. Serve immediately or save in the freezer until serving time. If you want, you can serve the granita by its self or you can accompany it with vanilla ice cream.
