We are social and environmentally sustainable. Our practices are eco-friendly, and improve the lives of our clients and our suppliers. 

One of the things we love the most about Wá is that it enables us to improve the quality of life of our suppliers as well as our clients, while maintaining positive practices for the environment. 

15 families of Archidona, Cotundo and Carlos Julio Arosemena Tola are providers of guayusa for making Wá. The economic alternative created by the sale of guayusa at a fair price allows these families and Ecuadorian indigenous communities access to income generated by positive activities instead of gaining profit from mining, cutting down the rainforest or working for the oil industry. It also brings them together as a community. For that reason, we want to keep supporting our suppliers committing to environmental and social initiatives involving the care of waterways and education in and around the guayusa producer’s area.  

Our clients benefit as well from Wa's activities having access to a beverage that celebrates local ingredients, such as guayusa and pure cane sugar, and generates a delicious, energizing and healthy product. The guayusa leaf has a great quantity of positive attributes, making Wa's sodas and infusions products that even a nutricionist would consume. Finally, our environmental strategy is based on a eco-friendly management in the supply, packaging and distribution chain. We acquire our ingredients directly from the Amazon indigenous communities, that have an ecological and pesticide free operation. Our bottles are friendly with the environment  and are completely plastic free, while the package of our infusions and guayusa leaves are recyclable. Also, 80% of our deliveries are made on bicycles and are free of pollution, that way we lower our carbon footprint.
